Party on Dude.

Party went well, crawled to bed about 4am after chilling with Stef and James after the rest of the guests drifted away. Good to see all the boys having a giggle. Will be posting piccies over the weekend for those interested.

Phew

Crikey, I've not lifted my head for a few weeks as we're cracking on with our new games and looking at things for next year. So, things are settling down a little for me just now, time for a bit of strategic thinking for a change. Looks like I'll be going to Iceland in the new year with a few buddies on a photography trip, never been before so apart from some trepidation regarding the weather...it'll no doubt be tops. The northern lights beckon.

We've organised a little party tonight at my gaff. Stef is over from Rome and Florin is UK based for a few months so it makes sense to get together for a few and lift the winter spirits. Tomorrow will be challenging.

Manual Mode

Finally got round to messing properly with the Nikon in manual mode last night. I can now take pictures! I think I'm confident enough to start messing with HDR and bracketing now...

Crossover UK

Got back from Skipton last night after attending the Crossover UK event at the Devonshire Arms in Bolton Abbey. The format was a week long residential lab where film/documentary/tv people get together with interaction designers (games in my case)

Stepping Stones

The Event was great, we generated around 70 ideas in the first day or two and (after reducing them down to 6 concepts) used processes to take those through to professionally pitched ideas for cross platform content. The final day involved pitching to commissioners from BBC/ITV and other national broadcasters/indies from around the world. There was a real spread of people there, all smart people with lots of ideas.

Ace time. Will be going again if I get half a chance.
